Life or Death Riddle

This riddle about a harrowing life or death situation combines skill, forethought, and proves how math and physics might be used in everyday life. Would you survive this situation?

 

The Setup

You are on a horse, moving forward at a constant speed.
On your right side is a sharp drop off.
On your left side is an elephant traveling at the same speed as you.
Directly in front of you is a bounding kangaroo, and your horse is unable to overtake it.
Directly behind you is a lion, running at the same speed as you and the kangaroo.

The Question
What must you do to get out of this seemingly dangerous situation safely?

The Answer
Get your drunk ass off that merry-go-round and go home to sleep it off.

A married couple is driving along a highway doing a steady forty miles per hour. The wife is behind the wheel.
Her husband, a divorce lawyer, suddenly looks across at her and speaks in a clear voice, "Darling," he says. "I know we've been married for twenty years, but I want a divorce."

The wife says nothing, keeps looking at the road ahead but slowly increases her speed to 45 mph.

"I don't want you to try and talk me out of it", he says, "because I've been having an affair with your best friend, and she's a far better lover than you are."
Again the wife stays quiet, but grips the steering wheel more tightly and slowly increases the speed to 55.
The husband, knowing how to get the upper hand in a divorce proceeding, "I want the house," he says insistently. Up to 60.
"I want the car, too," he continues. 65 mph.
"And," he says, "I'll have the bank accounts, all the credit cards and the boat."
The car slowly starts veering towards a massive concrete bridge. This makes him a wee bit nervous, so he asks her: "Isn't there anything you want?"
The wife at last replies - in a quiet and controlled voice. "No, I've got everything I need." she says.
"Oh, really?" he says with derision. "So what have you got?"
Just before they slam into the wall at 65 mph, the wife turns to him and smiles.
"The airbag."

نرم خوئی کا حکم ہے - بسا اوقات ایسا بھی ہوتا ہے کہ کسی شخص کے فعل پر ہمیں بہت غصہ آ رہا ہوتا ہے -
لیکن آپ اس کے باوجود کہ اس پہ غصہ کیا جانا چائے آپ غصہ نہیں کرتے ہیں - یہ ان کا کمال فن ہوتا ہے یا پھر وہ نان ڈگری ماہر نفسیات ہوتے ہیں-

وہ باتیں جو اب ہم میں نہیں ،،

پہلے ، اگر کھانے کےدوران ہمارا کوی نوالہ گر جایا کرتا تھا تو بزرگ کہا کرتے تھے کہ اس کو اٹھا کر بسم اللہ پڑھ کر کھا لیا جاے ،کیونکہ یہ نوالہ برکت والا تھا ،جسے شیطان نے ہاتھ مار کر گرا دیا تھا، اب یہ ہوتا ہے کہ اس کو نہ کھاو اس پر جراثیم ہیں

برکت اور شیطان تھا یا نہیں ،اسکی بحث نہیں ،لیکن ایک چیز ضرور ہوتی تھی کہ ہم لوگ رزق کا احترام کیا کرتے تھے

میں نے انتظار کرنے والوں کو دیکھا.انتظار کرتے کرتے سو جانے والوں کو بھی اور مر جانے والوں کو بھی. میں نے مضطرب نگاہوں اور بے چین بدنوں کودیکھا ہے.آہٹ پے لگے ہوئے کانوں کے زخموں کو دیکھا.انتظار میں کانپتے ہوئے ہاتھوں کو دیکھا . منتظر آدمی کے دو وجود ہوتے ہیں. ایک وہ جو مقررہ جگہ پر انتظار کرتا ہے، دوسرا وہ جو جسد خاکی سے جدا ہو کر پذیرائی کے لئے بہت دور نکل جاتا ہے. جب انتظار کی گھڑیاں دنوں،مہینوں اور سالوں پر پھیل جاتی ہیں تو کبھی کبھی دوسرا وجود واپس نہیں آتا اور انتظار کرنے والے کا وجود،اس خالی ڈبے کی طرح رہ جاتا ہے جسے لوگ خوبصورت سمجھ کر سینت کے رکھ لیتے ہیں او کبھی اپنے آپ سے جدا نہیں کرتے. یہ خالی ڈبا کئی بار بھرتا ہے، قسم قسم کی چیزیں اپنے اندر سمیٹتا ہے، لیکن اس میں "وہ" لوٹ کر نہیں آتا جو پذیرائی کے لئے آگے نکل گیا تھا .ایسے لوگ بڑے مطمین اورپورے طور پہ شانت ہوجاتے ہیں .ان مطمئن، پرسکون اور شانت لوگوں کی پر سنیلٹی میں بڑا چارم ہوتا ہے اور انہیں اپنی باقی ماندہ زندگی اسی چارم کے سہارے گزارنی پڑتی ہے.یہی چارم آپ کو سوفیا کی شخصیتوں میں نظر آے گا.یہی چارم عمر قدیوں کے چہرے پر دکھائی دے گا اور اسی چارم کی جھلک آپکو عمر رسیدہ پروفیسروں کی آنکھوں میں نظر آے گی.
